Gary A. McGee - CEO & President
In November 2000, Gary opened the doors of Protec Protective Services,
Inc. in hopes of serving his community with a quality service grounded
with integrity. Along with his Private Patrol Operator’s license, Gary has
acquired a Firearms Instructor rating with the California Bureau of
Security and Investigative Services. Also available as a “firearms pro”,
he teaches clients the basics of target shooting on a one-on-one basis.
As owner of Protec Protective
Service, Inc., Gary McGee offers over 31 years of law enforcement
experience.
In his early years in law enforcement, Gary started as a Deputy with the
El Dorado County Sheriff’s Department. During this time, he became one of
the Department’s Range Masters and competed on the Department’s pistol
team where he achieved the title of Distinguished Master.

After local law
enforcement, Gary qualified for a position with the State of California’s
Department of Justice where he served as a Special Agent with the Bureau
of Narcotic Enforcement. Gary then became a Senior Special Investigator
with the California Department of Social Services where he conducted
sensitive and complex investigations dealing with physical abuse, sexual
assault and wrongful death.

Gary lives in El Dorado Hills with his wife Linda of 34 years and has two
children, a son and daughter. His hobbies include 4-wheel driving and
target shooting.

Bill Keating - Assistant Chief
In 2004, after 26 years of law enforcement, William retired from full time
State service.
He is now the Assistant Chief for Protec Protective Services, Inc., while
also performing background investigations for Peace Officer applicants for
the State of California Department of Developmental Service as a Retired
Annuitant.William Keating’s career
began as a Lieutenant while serving in the United States Army’s Core of
Engineers for four and a half years before receiving his Bachelor of Arts
in Criminal Justice at California State University Sacramento in
Sacramento, California. |
His career
focus became law enforcement when he gained employment with the State of
California’s Department of Health Services where he investigated
occurrences of medical fraud. Continuing to serve the State as an
Investigator, William moved on to a position with California Department of
Social Services. Before achieving the title of Supervisor, William was
responsible for sensitive and complex investigations dealing with physical
abuse, sexual assault and wrongful death.
In 2004, after 26 years of law enforcement, William retired from full time

Services, Inc., while also performing background investigations for Peace

William has been married for 35 years and has two grown children, one
daughter and one son. His hobbies include video poker and target shooting.
